News

Steve Johnston has resigned from his position as CEO of Bundaberg Regional Council. The resignation was accepted by the council during a special meeting held on Tuesday, according to the Courier Mail.

New Mayor Helen Blackburn led the motion to accept Johnston’s resignation, and said it ” paves the way” for a more effective operation of the council, further delivering on her commitment to a more transparent and accountable council.

In the interim, the current general manager of infrastructure services, Stuart Randall, will take on the role of CEO. The recruitment process for a permanent replacement is estimated to take about six months.
