Steven Kingshott has been announced as the new Chairperson of the Victorian Local Government Grants Commission (VLGGC).
Mr Kingshott, with extensive experience across various sectors, will serve from 1 April 2024 to 31 October 2027.
The VLGGC, an independent statutory body, recommends the distribution of financial assistance grants for Victoria’s councils. For the 2023-24 financial year, the VLGGC recommended over $747 million in grants.
Mr Kingshott succeeds John Watson who recently stepped down from the role after 11 years.
