The State Government has appointed John Tanner AM as the Interim Administrator to lead Moira Shire Council for three months.
Mr Tanner was a member of the Commission of Inquiry which reported its findings to the Local Government Minister, leading to the dismissal of the council this week.
Following the initial three month period, a panel of administrators will oversee governance improvements for a period of approximately 5 years until elections in October 2028.
