The Town of Claremont has appointed John Pearson as its new Chief Executive Officer after a competitive process that drew 61 applicants.
Mr Pearson currently serves as Director of Corporate Services at the City of Rockingham and previously led the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley as CEO.
He’s a qualified finance and governance professional with a personal connection to Claremont, having attended school in the area.
Mayor Peter Telford says Council is delighted to have secured such a capable leader who will bring strong civic pride and values-based leadership.
Mr Pearson will start on June 2nd, 2026, with interim CEO Tim Clynch continuing until then.
