No less than 10 Victorian Councils will hold their annual election of mayor, and potentially deputy mayor, around the state today.
A busy evening for keen local government observers gets underway at 4.00pm with Colac Otway Shire the first to commence their statutory proceedings.
That will be followed by Wellington Shire Council at 5.00pm.
Buloke Shire, Glenelg Shire and Moorabool Shire will conduct their meetings from 6.00pm.
From 6.30pm, the metropolitan councils of Bayside, Maribyrnong and Port Phillip will follow, with Kingston scheduled for 7.00pm, and finally, Maroondah from 7.30pm.
