Victoria’s Minister for Local Government Shaun Leane has announced the start of a wide-ranging review of the culture of Victorian councils.
The review will identify the history and influences on culture in the sector, and provide a platform for the sector to take ownership of a positive and inclusive culture to improve governance and build public trust.
The Government has engaged PriceWaterhouseCoopers and eminent academics Professor Graham Sansom and Professor Anona Armstrong AM to deliver the project.
A discussion paper will be developed to guide broader engagement with the sector early in 2022.
