Victoria’s Local Government Minister, Shaun Leane, has announced he is taking four weeks leave to deal with the effect of radiation treatment for skin cancers.
Minister Leane issued a statement yesterday, saying he has been receiving radiation therapy for a number of skin cancers on his shoulders and chest. He said the prognosis for recovery is very good, but the physical effects are compromising his ability to fulfil his responsibilities.
Mary-Anne Thomas will be acting Minister for Local Government and Suburban Development during the period of leave, and Luke Donnellan will be Acting Minister for Veterans. Read more here.
