The District Council of Tumby Bay has appointed Bridget Mather as Interim Chief Executive Officer, commencing late last week.
Bridget brings many years of experience in Local Government, having held senior leadership positions and most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Coorong District Council.
The appointment follows the recent departure of Darren Keenan after the Council chose to terminate his employment contract before the end of an extended probation period.
Mr Keenan provided his perspective on the experience in a recent LinkedIn post, saying he was disappointed with the Council’s decision but humbled by the outpouring of support that he has received from staff and community members.
