Tasmania’s Minister for Local Government Nic Street is stepping down from ministerial duties for mental health reasons.
ABC News has reported that Mr Street will remain in Parliament as the Member for Franklin.
In addition to local government, Mr Street held the Finance, and Sport and Events portfolios.
The announcement comes just days after deputy premier and treasurer Michael Ferguson also resigned from cabinet.
Premier Jeremy Rockcliff is expected to announce a reshuffled cabinet on Sunday.
