Phuong Au appointed CEO of Ararat Rural City

Ararat Rural City Council’s new chief executive officer has been revealed.
Phuong Au was announced at tonight’s Council meeting as the successful candidate to succeed Dr Tim Harrison, who is stepping down from the role after eight years. He announced his departure in June.
Ms Au has been the council’s deputy CEO since last September, and previously held senior strategic roles at Ararat and Northern Grampians councils.
Mayor Bob Sanders said after the appointment decision that Ms Au was an outstanding candidate who “stood above the other candidates” that were interviewed for the position.
It’s understood her appointment is for a four year term, commencing 1st October.
