Narrogin Shire Appoints New CEO
The Shire of Narrogin has announced the appointment of Andrew Campbell as its new Chief Executive Officer, with his tenure officially beginning on 1 July 2026.
Shire President Leigh Ballard expressed high confidence in the appointment, citing Mr. Campbell’s “wealth of experience” and professionalism as vital assets that will help the Council deliver on its strategic priorities and strengthen community outcomes.
Mr. Campbell enters the role with an impressive professional background, including more than 30 years of local government service. He previously held CEO positions at the Shires of Northampton and Manjimup, providing him with a deep understanding of regional governance, strategic planning, and community engagement within Western Australia.
In accepting the position, Mr. Campbell shared his enthusiasm for relocating to Narrogin with his partner and becoming an active member of the local community. He noted the Shire’s “strong foundation” and expressed a commitment to working collaboratively with Council and staff to build on the region’s current momentum and seize future opportunities.
Mr Campbell’s appointment follows the resignation of Dale Stewart in February, ahead of taking up the CEO role at the Town of Port Hedland.
