Knox City Council chief executive Bruce Dobson has announced he will leave the organisation in January 2027, concluding a five-year term in the role.
In a statement issued by the council today, Dobson said he had made the decision to move overseas with his family, who will live and work in the United Kingdom. “It’s been a great privilege to lead the organisation and to work with our Councillors over the last 5 years, and I’m proud of what’s been achieved,” he said, pointing to progress on community experience, organisational performance, and staff engagement and culture.
Mayor Cr Paige Kennett thanked Dobson for his contribution to the organisation and the community. She said Council was grateful for his service and would work closely with him over the coming months “to ensure a smooth transition and the appointment of a new CEO.”
Dobson will remain in the role until his departure in January.
