Fitzpatrick-Barr Resigns at Singleton
Singleton Council has announced the resignation of its General Manager, Justin Fitzpatrick-Barr, following an extraordinary Council meeting held last night.
While the Council has expressed its thanks to Mr. Fitzpatrick-Barr for his service, the search for an interim replacement is already underway. Mel Curtis has been appointed as Acting General Manager to ensure a smooth transition.
Mayor Sue Moore has moved to reassure residents and ratepayers, stating that Council operations will continue as normal without interruption. She emphasised that the executive team remains focused on long-term prosperity and community resilience.
Mr Fitzpatrick-Barr stepped up from the Director of Infrastructure and Planning role at the council in August 2024, and was with Singleton since September 2020.
