Clare Phelan, an experienced local leader, has been unanimously appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sutherland Shire Council.
Ms Phelan, who previously served as the Council’s Director of Corporate Support, has a strong background in local government.
She will take over from Manjeet Grewal who is stepping down after 5 years as the council’s first female CEO and 31 years with the organisation.
