A new Disability Sport Centre for Excellence will be built at Blacktown City’s International Sportspark, it was announced today.
$15M in state government funding will deliver a new multipurpose indoor training facility for athletes with disability, along with bespoke amenities designed to allow athletes to train more often around work, family and educational commitments.
Blacktown City Council will partner with Disability Sports Australia on the project which will commence construction this year, aiming for a completion date of late 2024.
