Former councillor Steve Ring will return to Lithgow City Council after the completion today of a countback by the NSW Electoral Commission.
The countback was required after the resignation last month of Deanna Goodsell after six years in the council.
Mr Ring was first elected to the council in 2016, and was unsuccessful at the last election in 2021.
Lithgow Mayor Councillor Maree Statham said, “The countback process has been smoothly and efficiently managed by the Commission, at a much lower cost than a city-wide by-election.”
