Robbie Nyaguy has won a computer countback conducted this afternoon to fill a vacancy on Port Phillip City Council in Lake Ward.
The vacancy arose due to the resignation of Katherine Copsey, who was elected to the Victorian Parliament in December.
Five unsuccessful candidates from the 2020 election contested the countback.
Cr-elect Nyaguy will have 48 hours to return a declaration of qualification before he can be sworn in to the position.
