Jodie Taylor will not renew her contract as CEO of Western Downs Regional Council, bringing to an end a 21-year career in local government.
The announcement comes ten months before her departure in December, allowing time for a thorough recruitment process.
Ms Taylor’s tenure included five years as CEO and recognition as LGMA Queensland’s Manager of the Year in 2023.
Mayor Andrew Smith praised her transformative leadership and commitment to transparency and innovation.
