NSW: Breton appointed Liverpool CEO

News

Jason Breton, who grew up in Liverpool’s tough neighborhoods and rose through the ranks of NSW Police to Detective Chief Inspector before transitioning to the private sector, has been appointed as Liverpool City Council‘s CEO following a unanimous council vote.

His appointment follows a successful 12-month tenure as Acting CEO and comes with a vision to improve front-line operations, explore diverse revenue streams, and implement strategic urban planning for the fast-growing region.

Mr Breton believes his personal connection to Liverpool, from his challenging early life to his extensive career in law enforcement and corporate leadership, positions him uniquely to understand and address the needs of this multicultural and rapidly developing city.
