VIC: MAV President defeated in Pyrenees vote

In a shock development, MAV President David Clark has failed to win re-election to Pyrenees Shire Council.

Mr Clark has lost out to challenger Simon Tol by a seven percent margin on first preference votes.

According to figures published today by the VEC, other positions on the council will be filled by Rebecca Wardlaw, Damian Ferrari and Tanya Kehoe.

Preference distribution will be required to determine the final positions in Mount Emu Ward.
