Mr Johnson brings with him a wealth of multi-sector experience, having held senior roles at ANZ and serving five years as young Mayor at Port Augusta City Council.

He has been CEO at the District Council of Mount Remarkable in South Australia since 2020.

In recognition of his contributions, Johnson was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to the Local Government sector in 2021.

As part of his transition to the new role, Johnson will be relocating from South Australia to Launceston along with his wife and three young boys.
