Two Victorian councillors have resigned in recent days, triggering the 51st and 52nd extraordinary vacancies this council term.
West Wimmera Shire councillor Trevor Domaschenz resigned last week, shortly after returning from a period of leave. He had been on the council for nearly seven years, after first being elected in 2016.
At Macedon Ranges Shire this week, first term councillor Anne Moore has resigned for health and family reasons. Her resignation is effective immediately.
Both councils are awaiting advice on whether a countback or by-election will be required to fill the vacancies.
