Melbourne City Council will review its Australia Day arrangements, after the Council this week supported a motion from Lord Mayor Sally Capp.

The City of Darwin has appointed Simone Saunders as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ms Saunders has been interim since March. More here.

WA’s Department of Local Government will investigated why the Town of Cambridge’s CEO suddenly resigned last week.

At Clarence Valley Council in NSW, current Acting General Manager Laura Black has been confirmed in the position for five years, commencing in October.

A NSW Council spent nearly $16M more than budgeted in the five years since being formed through amalgamation in 2016.
